Rubber joints can also be called flexible rubber joints, rubber soft connections, soft joints, flexible rubber joints, rubber expansion joints, shock absorbers, etc. They are pipeline joints with high elasticity, high air tightness, medium resistance and climate resistance.
Rubber joints are usually composed of inner rubber layer, fabric reinforcing layer (reinforcing layer has multiple layers of scraped nylon cord fabric), middle rubber layer, outer rubber layer and end reinforcement metal ring or wire ring. After vulcanization at high temperature and high pressure, the rubber joints are combined with metal flange or loose sleeve of parallel joints. This product utilizes the advantages of rubber, such as high elasticity, high air resistance, medium resistance, weather resistance and radiation resistance. It can reduce the vibration and noise of pipeline and compensate the thermal expansion and cold contraction caused by temperature change.
According to the different media, the rubber materials used are different, such as natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, ethylene propylene terpolymer, chloroprene rubber, silicone rubber, fluorine rubber and so on. They have the functions of heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and oil resistance.
