Features of PTFE Material

- Feb 21, 2020-

PTFE is a thermoplastic polymer that is compatible with a variety of lubricants and has chemical resistance far superior to any other sealing lip material.

PTFE has a smooth dustproof surface. PTFE lip seals can withstand high surface speeds and longer service life. The seal can withstand dry friction, because of its excellent antifouling ability, especially valuable in heavy pollution applications.

PTFE is used as an auxiliary seal or as a main seal for specific occasions. For optimum performance, PTFE seals require high quality sealing contact surfaces and special care should be taken during installation. The normal operating temperature ranges from -70 to +200 °C (-90 to +390 °F) and can reach 250 °C (480 °F).
